STAR network works with your checking account just like a
debit card. When you use your ATM Card and PIN to make a purchase,
the funds are deducted directly from your checking account.
Most supermarkets, discount stores, and many other merchants
allow you to receive cash back in addition to the purchase
amount. Be sure to ask before you shop: some stores have limits
on the amount you may get back, and occasionally merchants
have a no-cash-back policy.
