A Health Savings Account, HSA, is a special savings account that allows you to set aside money on a pretax basis to pay for medical expenses. In order to be eligible for a HSA, you must have a high-deductible health plan, the deductible that must be met can change annually. Throughout the year, you are able to make deposits into your HSA. There are government mandated limits, and they can change each year as well. The account comes with its own debit card and can be used on eligible medical purchases.
