We moved into this store-front location at 9606 S. Broadway
in 1959 to be closer to National Lead Company's industrial
plant. The company was our original sponsor group. Our
first office was at 3628 Wisconsin Avenue in the city of
St. Louis. This new location was roughly seven blocks away
from the plant.
After purchasing an old, four-room house for $7,500 and
several lots at the northeast corner of East Arlee and Adair
Avenue in the Three Oaks Subdivision, we built a new,
free-standing branch at 433 East Arlee. This location was
even closer to the plant, just 200 feet from the main
entrance of National Lead.

We started moving into our new building on June 29, 1968,
and officially occupied it on July 1, 1968. At the time, we
were one of very few credit unions in Missouri to own a
building rather than lease or rent it.

We held an open house event on July 27, 1968, to celebrate
the grand opening of our new home.
Three years after National Lead Company's plant closed,
we moved our office to 1540 Lemay Ferry Road in May 1981.
While renovations were being made to the building, formerly
known as the Metropolitan Building and previously occupied
by an insurance company, we temporarily operated out of an
office in the Carafiols Shopping Area at 3193 Lemay Ferry Road.
Years later, we expanded and did more remodeling,
receiving a Commercial Beautification Award from the
Lemay Chamber of Commerce in August 2015.
We added a drive-up, parking lot and new building wing
on the north side of our main office after purchasing a
bar called Wild's Palace of Point, which had a “Eat Here
If It Kills You” neon sign out front.
We added a branch in Arnold, at 3920 Jeffco Boulevard
near Telegraph Road.
