When shopping in person, simply tap your phone or smartwatch at the payment terminal wherever contactless payments are accepted. Checkout takes just seconds, making everyday purchases faster, easier, and more convenient.
Strong security features help protect your information
When you make a payment with a digital wallet, your card information is encrypted and replaced with a unique, digital token instead of sharing your actual number with the merchant. This tokenization technology helps protect your information and makes it extremely difficult for fraudsters to steal your payment data or create counterfeit cards. Even if a merchant experiences a data breach, your actual card number isn't exposed.
Most digital wallets also require biometric verification – such as fingerprint or facial recognition – or your device passcode to access the wallet or authorize payments. This adds an extra layer of protection beyond using a physical card.
If your phone is ever lost or stolen, you can remotely lock your device or erase its data, helping protect your digital wallet and the information stored in it.

Digital wallets aren't just for in-store purchases.
Many mobile apps let you check out with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Wallet instead of manually entering your card information at checkout. Popular examples include food delivery, retail, airline, and ride-sharing apps.
More and more websites also let you pay with your digital wallet at checkout, making online shopping just as quick, secure, and convenient.
If you've downloaded Century's mobile banking app, MyCenturyCU, adding your Century Visa® debit and/or credit card to a supported digital wallet is even easier.
Simply:
- Open your debit card or credit card within Century's mobile banking app.
- Select Manage Card.
- Tap Add to Wallet.
Once your card information is verified, you'll receive confirmation that your card has been added to your digital wallet and is ready to use for contactless purchases, online shopping, and in-app payments.
