At Century, we believe in the power of community. For over 15 years, our unique Family Fund has embodied our "people helping people" philosophy by providing support to fellow members facing unexpected hardships.
Unlike traditional assistance programs, the Family Fund works through a nomination process. Members experiencing difficulties don't apply directly — instead, when our staff becomes aware of a member facing exceptional challenges, they may recommend them to our review committee. This careful process ensures resources go to those facing truly unexpected circumstances with limited alternatives.
The beauty of the Family Fund is that it's sustained entirely by our credit union community:
Since 2009, we've issued more than 300 grants totaling over $125,000 to members who've fallen on hard times. In 2024 alone, we provided $5,038 to help 13 members through various challenges, including:
When assistance is approved, Century never provides cash directly. Instead, we purchase gift cards for necessities or make payments directly to utility companies, medical providers, or other essential services. Recipients never need to repay these funds, as they come from the collective generosity of our membership.

It's about members coming together in times of need, sharing our blessings, and supporting each other through life's unexpected challenges.
