Today is Give StL Day, and we’re proud to support seven incredible local nonprofits with small operating budgets – each making a big impact in our community.
With $1,250 in financial donations from the credit union – plus two matching gifts of $250, bringing the total to $1,750 – we're helping these organizations continue their vital work:
- Even Chance Pit Bull Rescue – Rescues and places pit bulls in foster homes while educating the public about the breed with facts, not fear.
- Addiction is Real, Inc. – Delivers substance use prevention tools for youth, including toolkits, presentations, and a mobile exhibit.
- EnergyCare – Keeps vulnerable St. Louisans safe from extreme weather with window air conditioners, space heaters, blankets, utility aid, and more.
- MindsEye – Empowers individuals who are blind or have low vision through four specialized support programs.
- Card Care Connection – Spreads cheer and encouragement to those fighting cancer, one heartfelt card and care package at a time.
- The Buddy Fund – Equips organizations in low-income neighborhoods with sports and recreation gear for kids.
- Caped Crusaders Cat Rescue – Rescues, fosters, and cares for homeless cats and kittens in Franklin County, all led by a dedicated volunteer team.
