At Century, we believe in giving back to the communities that support and sustain us. We do this by organizing drives inside our branches to help those less fortunate, employees volunteering their time at local charities, and the credit union making monetary donations to non-profit organizations.
“Even though these efforts don’t always show up on balance sheets, they matter just as much,” says Century Credit Union President/CEO Joshua Wallace.
On Give STL Day 2026, we once again supported multiple local nonprofits, choosing organizations with mini, micro, or small operating budgets — groups making a meaningful impact with limited resources. We’d like to shine a spotlight on the incredible work they do every day:
- Bridge Bread Bakery provides restorative employment and housing assistance for people experiencing housing insecurity.
- Ride on St. Louis uses horse-human interaction to support wellness and therapeutic goals for veterans, children, and adults with health challenges.
- Diaspora Connections Unlimited / The Griot Museum of Black History (St. Louis) preserves and shares African American history and culture through exhibits, programs, and community education.
- Foster Together supports St. Louis-area children and families impacted by foster care with free essentials and community resources.
- The Gateway End-of-Life Coalition promotes compassionate end-of-life care and meaningful conversations about death and dying.
- Books for STL Kids helps fight childhood illiteracy by providing new books through local preschool and after-school programs.
- Even Chance Pit Bull Rescue strives to counteract misinformation about pit bulls with factual education, communication, and resources. They rescue temperamentally sound dogs from shelters and provide foster care until they are placed in forever homes.
- Card Care Connection brings encouragement and emotional support to individuals facing cancer through homemade card, care packages, and outing grants.
- Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) works to end impaired driving through advocacy, education, and victim support.

Below is an almost all-inclusive list of the charities we backed in 2025 in a variety of ways. (Those whose logos are not pictured are Crestwood Animal Shelter, St. Louis Counseling, On My Way to Furever Rescue, and the Prostate Cancer Foundation.)
